If you're in Colorado

Let go: pay nowWhen the company ends the job, the last paycheck is due immediately. If payroll is closed, within 6 hours of the start of its next workday; 24 hours when payroll works off site. C.R.S. 8-4-109.
Resigned: next paydayWhen they quit, it is due on the next regular payday.
Vacation is wagesEvery earned, unused vacation hour is paid out. A use-it-or-lose-it policy cannot erase it (Nieto v. Clark's Market). Paid sick leave is not paid out.
Deductions need a signatureLoans, advances and unreturned property come off the last check only with their written authorization. C.R.S. 8-4-105.
Late pay costs moreAfter a written demand, 14 days to pay before a penalty of twice the unpaid amount or $1,000.
